MY BACKGROUND

As a global citizen, I grew up in New Orleans, London, and Paris and was blessed to travel across Europe extensively as a child. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology from Barnard College/Columbia University with graduate Studies in Spiritual Ecology and Indigenous Ways of caring for the Planet. Over the last 20 years I have traveled and lived as a mystic seeker on land and sea in the following countries: Australia, Kenya, New Zealand, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, Cambodia, Sri Lanka,Thailand, Croatia, Panama, Costa Rica, and British Columbia.

In my writing career, I have worked as a Journalist on the Worldwide Voyage of the Polynesian Voyaging Canoe Hōkūle‘a. I was also Communications Director for Pacific Voyagers, a group of islanders circumnavigating the globe on traditional voyaging canoes and raising awareness about ocean issues. I covered events such as the Pacific Arts Festival in the Solomon Islands and sailed with the crew to Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Subsequently, over the course of three years living in Bali, Indonesia, I grew my business in writing services and social media management, writing for travel and adventure companies.

I have also provided various forms of content writing, such as in the developing and writing of exhibits for the Bishop Museum and the Waikiki Aquarium. I have written SEO enriched blogs and expedition descriptions for luxury, remote and sustainable travel, website content for Pacific Voyagers and smaller clients in the healing arts as well as an array of other content such as professional letters, newsletters, educational guides, film narration, and more.

I have also acted as social media manager for accounts mostly focusing on marine stewardship and adventure.I am passionate and dedicated, focusing on projects I believe in. I am currently living in Hawaii as a new mother and am working as an editor.

My voice is versatile and targeted. My commitment to holistic living, connection to the feminine, and love of the wilderness inform my work. I have an intuitive and unique felt sense that when translated into words creates an unforgettable impact that speaks to the heart.

I believe in a Holistic approach to life, all the way from our relationships with ourselves, to the way we create our businesses that thrive in reciprocity with our communities, to how we write the stories of our lives, and exist in relation to our home, planet Earth. In my personal life, I follow the beauty way. I am a certified raw food chef, a trained energy healer, a practitioner of Hawaiian plant medicine, and a mother doing all I can to lead a creative and connected life. I am knowledgeable about holistic health and natural healing, detoxing, whole food nutrition and plant based diets, green living, emotional healing and psychology, and the mind-body-soul connection. As a deep sea voyager, I have navigated by the stars and surrendered to the elements. I am a seeker and an explorer. I am also well-versed in the realms of environment and ecology, arts and culture, spiritual growth, and creative mothering.
